Outreach

Karawdeniyya Nano-Sensing and Innovations Lab is dedicated to science outreach. We believe that even small contributions can create a ripple effect in public awareness and inspire younger generations to pursue science.

Dr. Karawdeniya has mentored high school students and advised postgraduate students from India and Indonesia on short-term projects. She has also been involved in creating an science outreach video on nanotechnology. Dr. Karawdeniya is passionate about writing articles on science-related topics for the general science community and the public, and some of her popular press articles are listed below. KNSI Lab strongly encourages students to engage in outreach activities.

Inclusion, Diversity, Equity, and Access

We strive towards inclusion, diversity, equity, and, access for all. Dr. Karawdeniya has been an inaugural member of the inSTEM Conference initiated in 2023 to support underrepresented and marginalized groups in STEM.
